“There is nothing like a dream to create the future.” – Victor Hugo
Seasons are temporary, even if they don’t feel that way when you’re going through them. What was once thought of as a guarantee is sometimes not. Life throws curveballs. Environments change. Chaos can sweep through a calculated life.
With every closed door, another that’s yet to be knocked on & opened is revealed. You don’t always see what’s on the other side…but you have an idea of what could be there. And, that’s enough. Often, a different view births a different dream. Stepping over the threshold may be difficult, painful or forced. It will take courage & determination.
And, it will take a thread of hope.
The hope that says the future will be better than the past. The hope that says this will not hold me down, hold me back, or hold me in bondage to a life that no longer exists. It’s a hope that is alive. Because this, the here & now, marks the step to the new.
And, it will be good.
Because success is failure that gets back up. It’s being burned to the ground and RISING from the ashes. It is sobbing, curled in a ball on the floor, before wiping your tears & squaring your shoulders and saying “OK, I’m ready.” It’s believing & hoping & dreaming…before starting & stepping & doing. It’s being strong, because you are.
And, that thread of hope may be all you have…but its all you need.
Hold fast to that hope and aim toward what’s next. Hold tight. Sometimes, the incident you thought would break you leads the way to the greatest experience of your life. No matter where you are or what’s going on, this shall pass. Hang on, friends. And, you’ll be on new ground, with a new plan, a new dream & renewed hope. Sooner than you think.
Stay strong. Hold fast to your dream of the future. Hope. Believe.
“…But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.” – Romans 8: 24-25
